New dance track from MINKA on Impose

MINKA, the four piece dance machine out of Philly, have returned with new music. Earlier today, they premiered their new track, "Josephine," over at Impose Magazine and there's never been a better time to turn it up loud and cut loose with the carefree dance pop. The guitars are jangly and tight knit, undercut with a groovy 70s bass line, and cymbals and high hat magic shimmery magic. The vocal delivery has a bit of James Murphy spin during the verses, but then ascend to funky falsetto for the choruses. Take a listen below.

Go stream Hot or Mood exclusively at Paste and get stoked for its official release this Friday, April 7th.

Dead Leaf Echo share new video at NYLON

Dead Leaf Echo have just debuted a new music video for their track "Strawberry.Skin" over at NYLON and it's four minutes of dreamy shoegaze bliss. The video, according to the folks over at NYLON, " brings vintage-y vibes," and if you'll take a peek below you can see exactly what they mean. The song is a hazy blend of soft vocals and fuzzed out guitars and the video matches this aesthetic with the pink smoke and visceral interpretation of Strawberry Skin. This track is taken from the band's upcoming EP, which you can preorder here

"Featuring dreamy vocals and a sinister synth riff, ‘Afterglow’, premiering here, gives the stellar new Goldfrapp album, Silver Eye, (also out today) a run for its money," says PopDose's Keith Creighton of the track.

If you're in the central Texas area, don't miss them opening tomorrow night, April 1 for AlunaGeorge at Southwestern University

Omega Vague premiere new single at Echoes and Dust

Omega Vague, or the moniker for Craig Douglas' ethereal rock project, has just shared a brand new track over at Echoes and Dust. This new song, "Drown," is a great example of Omega Vague's genre-spanning sound; you can hear influences of space rock, shoegaze, and even a little folk. The acoustic guitar riffs bounce along while Douglas' vocals are airy and light, fluttering above the mix. Overall, it's a peek at the softer side of Omega Vague, the rest of which you can check out on Aversion/Reversion, which will be out April 14th. Take a listen to the new song below.
