ATX’s Coattails will be releasing their new EP shortly on November 9. From that Imaginary Friends EP, they’ve shared a new video for “Clocks & Knives.” This track is an alt-rock lullaby of sorts, and the video runs with the theme of the title of the EP. Striking electric guitar rings out and echoes through the whole duration of the song, meanwhile the vocals are bright and in the front of the mix, making for a solid rock track with sentimental notes. Take a peek below or head over to New Noise to read up on the track/EP.
Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Kramies Windt, and Kyle Field of Little Wings have created the first ever split-trio! The three friends and songwriters conceptualized a release featuring a new song from each artist using only one instrument and one microphone, recorded at home with zero studio frills. The first of these was released this week via NPR’s All Songs Considered. Check out the episode HERE and keep an eye out for the full “3ingle” release on November 16!
Dire Wolves, out of San Francisco, have long been making free folk/astral jazz that encourages introspection, but today they’ve outdone themselves with the release of their new visual companion to the track “Unfettered And Alive,” off their upcoming LP, Paradisiacal Mind. The video, from Andy Puls, has been released by the fine folks at Tiny Mix Tapes—go read up on the video/album over there! Paradisiacal Mind will be out on November 9 on Feeding Tube Records here in the US and Cardinal Fuzz in the UK and EU.

Berlin-based queer art project Godmother have dropped a new video for “No Kidding” off their recently released self-titled album. Godmother was released September 21 by New Pangea Records and it takes a look at the darker side of humanity with tongue and cheek humor. “No Kidding” is essentially about recognizing that it’s time to let the human species die out. As Joey Hansom puts it, “'No Kidding' is no 'Stairway to Heaven' – it's an escalator to nothingness." Check out the video premiere at PopMatters and stream the full record on Spotify.
