Occlusions is the Alt-R&B duo of vocalist Leigh Bahari (they/them, Philadelphia) and producer Alex Gorischek (he/him, Seattle). "After reconnecting with an old friend, I found out that he had gotten into heroin pretty badly. It caught me off guard, and I didn’t really understand what was going on at the time. He asked me for help, but I didn’t know what to do. I had never been in that situation before. Our friendship quickly fell apart and I had to cut ties. I wanted my childhood friend back, but it felt like he was gone. This song is about that experience." - Leigh Bahari
