Swahili Blonde share first single from upcoming full-length

January 22, 2016 will see the release of a brand new full-length from LA's Swahili Blonde and today, AudioFemme has shared the first single from the album. 

“'The Diamond Room' starts out with an ethereal electronic drum line perfectly complemented by Turley’s fluttery, rousing soprano vocals. Unconventionally structured, the song is comprised of two alternating choruses, one which feels sweet and playful like a childhood lullaby and the other darker in melody, and a more sinister in conceit, with Turley describing being in a dream in which the protagonists are 'not what they seem' – both spooky and compelling, right in time for the Halloween season."

Introducing: Flavor Waster

We're very excited today to finally share with the world the first single from brand new DC project Flavor Waster. The core duo of Kevin Hilliard and Patrick Taylor played together in post-hardcore trio Caverns, but this project sees them incorporating a lot of electronic elements. Vocalist Jodi Jones, drummer Martin MacAlister, and multi-instumentalist Ryan Burke round out the group. The 405 shared "Delta" today, "which meets soft and assuring vocals from lead singer Jodi Jones with a hyper-active melt of kinetic instrumentals those familiar with Caverns may have expected."

Starlight Girls stream new single + announce NYC release show

Bushwick-based Starlight Girls have a new LP coming out October 13 and they'll be celebrating with a show at Lot 45 on the 16th. Today, they've shared a new single "Lodestar" via Exclaim! and you can check that out HERE or in the Soundcloud player below.
