As he’s always done, Kramies has again woven together a touching tapestry of songs into an emotional new story. Yet this time the artistic atmosphere of Kramies’ new self-titled EP conjures something more. It is the organic journey and display of Kramies’ growth as an artist.

As shown by his previous appearances in publications and outlets such as Billboard, Clash, NPR, and the BBC, much of his success has come from his ability to be himself and create songs through his clear artistic vision. With this new EP, Kramies has grown even more comfortable with his individual way of writing and style, making it his own, while pushing his craft as an outsider now walking even more firmly on his path.

Produced by and featuring Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Tyler Ramsey of Band of Horses, and Jerry Becker of Train, as well as an appearance from Jim Bogios, who has played with the Counting Crows and Stevie Nicks, this EP showcases a huge spectrum of creativity and sound in a short period of time.

Containing the old-world dreamy, lyrical landscapes which he has become known for, Kramies now crosses boundaries between eerie scenarios and fairy-tale laden myths. With songs touching on death, struggles with addiction, and the echoes of nostalgia, he demonstrates a much more powerful musical maturity and strength. Ultimately, Kramies’ new EP aims to stir the souls and hearts of the listeners. This is not just the next step for Kramies as an artist, but a new beginning for him as a whole.
