GILDA HOUSE is a synth pop collective of four established musicians who serendipitously found each other as the project developed. Based in Billing, Montana, the synergistic band has 3 EPs, a handful of singles and covers, regional and Midwest tours, national festivals, and a few years together on the books. In Montana, they have supported Noah Cyrus, Milky Chance, Missoula Pride, and more national touring acts in addition to hosting their own energetic headlining shows. Rain or shine, count on GILDA HOUSE to serve evocative big synths and moods.
While the focus of 2025 is finishing their first full length album, GILDA HOUSE is eager to share a new single and a favorite live cover, “Black and Gold” on Friday, May 23rd . In our country’s current state of sharp division and bitter criticism, the band is proud to honor this song originally by Sam Sparro, adding to his chorus of venerating union in a dark and lonely universe. The ethereal GILDA HOUSE rendition pulses, questions, sweeps, and shreds as the band brings this song from the stage to the studio.
GILDA HOUSE features Meg Gildehaus on vocals and bass synth, Tony Morales on guitar, keys, and background vocals, Nick Miles on drums and lighting design, and Sean Lynch writing in the studio and mixing the band live. Meg came from a heavy gigging bar band background playing violin and singing. Enthralled with writing and producing on a computer, she started this project in 2019 with a laptop, microphone, and a Scarlett 2i2 at home. Coming from an instrumental metal background, Tony Morales expanded the sound and possibilities with guitar, keys, and back-up vocals. Nick Miles is a punk drummer at heart bringing heightened energy, punch, and groove to the stage and the studio. Nick also creates the lighting design for the live show. Sean Lynch is a longtime Billings scene builder as a musician, promoter, producer, and venue owner. He became a writing partner in the studio and now manages, writes with, and mixes the band live.
