PARENTZ drop Halloween-themed video for "Dead Mall"

Oakland-based art pop project PARENTZ have been treating us to new material the past few months, starting with the original version of single “Dead Mall” followed by remix from Pretty Handsome, and now that we’re in the midst of Halloween season, we have a new video for the song, filmed at an actual abandoned mall. LA electronic pop act WEEKS shares debut single at Grimy Good

WEEKS is the newest electronic pop act coming out of LA with debut single “Plastic Screens” debuting at Grimy Goods today. The song is about our obsession with creating the illusion of perfection on social media. Grimy Goods says, “The track bubbles with an electronic fizziness; frayed buzzes and blips beaming themselves through WEEKS digital-age soundscape while the singer’s piercing croons dreamily cut through the hypnotic noise.”

Austin, TX band Linen Closet release video for "Warning Sign"

Detroit's Willa Rae Adamo launches new feminist solo project

Willa Rae Adamo, a backbone of the Detroit music scene and co-founder of Girls Rock Detroit, has launched a new solo project celebrating the power of one real loud guitar and the unbreakable femme spirit reclaiming cock rock. Valerie the Vulture recently released a new video for first single “James Dean” which calls upon its iconic bad boy namesake and coming-of-age imagery to tell the story of a girl who is mistaking sex for love. Whippoorwill share glorious new indie-folk tune at MxDwn

Fort Collins, CO trio Whippoorwill will see the release of a new LP, The Nature of Storms, on November 15.
