A big week in the world of Atoms and Void, as they reveal another piece of visual content to accompany their And Nothing Else LP which will see release tomorrow, May 20. This track is a wonderful piece of ambient electronic music that pays homage to the minimalist composers who pioneered the genre. Check out the video below or where it debuted at PureVolume.

Atoms and Void share video for "For Sharon, With Love"

The debut album, And Nothing Else, from LA/Seattle project Atoms and Void has been many, many years in the making. Over the course of those years, a lot happened. Recording sessions in many cities and with many friends and collaborators. The video for "For Sharon, With Love" was created from footage taken over the course of these years and travels and edited by the ultra talented director Melissa Henderson. The result is sort of a "many years in the life" or "making of" movie. A look back at some of the moments that played into the resulting album, which will see vinyl release May 20 via Arctic Rodeo Recordings. Thank you to The 405 for the premiere.

Night School announce debut LP for June 17

Oakland trio Night School have just announced Blush, their debut LP, for a June 17 release on Graveface Records. CMJ shared the video for lead single "Last Disaster," saying, "it’ a perfect encapsulation of their thing: drowzy vocal takes on classic ’60s girl group harmonies, paired with tastefully fuzzy gits and a toe-tap beat."

Atoms and Void announce vinyl release of "And Nothing Else"

Atoms and Void is not a band. Atoms and Void is a concept. A collective. A collaboration helmed by Arlie Carstons and Eric Fisher but including members of Sufjan Stevens, Fleet Foxes, Foo Fighters, La Luz, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, and seemingly limitless more. Their debut LP will see proper vinyl release on May 20 via Arctic Rodeo Recordings, and in celebration of the preorder announcement today, they have shared a new video for album track "Waves of Blood" via Utne Reader.
