Austin, TX-based James Black will release his debut solo EP on February 9, 2024. The seasoned musician worked with Gordon Raphael (noted for The Strokes' "Is This It" 2001) to create the lead single “I Like This” which sees the release of a brand new video today.
Precocious Neophyte is the shoegaze/dreampop project of South Korean singer-songwriter Jeehye Ham, currently based in Chicago and set to release their Home in the Desert LP on Graveface Records this fall. Today, V13 premieres the first official video for “My Electronic Idol” saying “it easily stands up against any of the best shoegaze bands and artists today.”
Portland’s Small Million have been dropping singles from their upcoming release for Tender Loving Empire Records over the last few months and have now graced us with an I-Spy themed video from the talented young queer filmmaker, Emma Josephson. The Joy of Violent Movement calls the track “a hook-driven bit of pop built around Graham’s ethereal vocal melody, glistening guitar lines, and a driving rhythm section,” and says, “the accompanying video for ‘Burnout’ stars Sammy Rios as a woman struggling to burst out of being reduced to flattened, two-dimensional rendition of a person — while appearing as though she’s losing her own mind.”
Portland dream pop band Small Million released their “FOMO” single earlier this year and have now shared the cinematic video for the track, directed by the band’s bassist and backing vocalist Kale Chesney. Seattle dark-wave band Jupe Jupe are set to release their 6th LP, Midnight Waits for No One, on April 14 via No-Count Records. Today, they share a new track along with accompanying video. “Open Door” showcases My Young’s distinct vocals and Bryan Manzo adding some lovely sax lines.
